Sensitive changes are appended to an immutable audit log — who did it, what changed, when. Combined with the forward-only job pipeline and reversal-not-delete ledger discipline, the shop's history is a record rather than a current state that somebody may have tidied.

- Do the reports agree with the cash drawer?
- Yes, because they read the same ledger. Revenue reporting, technician commission, receivables and the daily close-out are all derived from one set of transactions, so there is no reconciliation step between a sales report and a cash report.
- How is job margin calculated?
- From the cost actually recorded against the job for the part used, not from a list price. For shops running on-demand parts mode, that is the price genuinely paid to the wholesaler on that job.
- Is there a record of who changed what?
- Yes. Sensitive changes append to an immutable audit log capturing the user, the change and the time. Entries are never rewritten or deleted, and the job timeline and financial ledger follow the same append-only discipline.
